In this role, you will lead grow and develop 3 software development teams through effective mentoring, hiring, coaching, succession planning, and retention strategies. You will join a small leadership group based in Østerbro, Copenhagen with whom you will communicate company and product strategy on a regular basis. Your ultimate mission will be to lead the division to deliver on product strategy and architecture, while influencing the future direction as well as championing engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics, standards, and processes for regular assessment and improvement. You will continuously explore new ways for achieving mastery by strengthening the team’s mindset of collaboration and determination.

Your main responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate the people, resources and processes required to deliver and maintain multiple software products.
• Manage and own the software development lifecycle to reduce time to market, improve product quality and ensure product success.
• Support team members in their own growth and areas of responsibility including but not limited to technology, processes, execution planning, communication and team management.
• Optimize division resource allocation and ensure appropriate procedures, processes and best practices are followed across the teams.
• Build a positive work environment based on accountability and inclusiveness, in partnership with peers on the leadership team.
• Build an excellent customer experience, setting a higher standard on functionality, usability, and simplicity.
• Define objectives, key results, and key performance indicators, and be accountable for tracking against them.

About you:

• 10+ years overall experience, 3+ years management experience required, prior experience in managing multiple teams a strong plus.
• Developed commercial products in programming languages like C++, C#, Java, Go or similar.
• Handled ambiguity and led others through untrodden paths to pursue desirable outcomes.
• Worked well across divisional boundaries to build partnerships.
• Proven experience working and partnering with product and business team members to drive business results.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
• Knowledge of/ passion for 3D Commerce industry is strongly preferred but not required

Role status/location –Copenhagen, Denmark (Hybrid role)

Due to the seniority of this position and managing 3 software development teams, this role is required to be in the Copenhagen office (in Østerbro) approximately 3 days per week. 

Relocation – We will consider candidates within Europe (with a European passport), and will help with flights and accommodation. Note that we ideally need this person to start by 1^st April.
