The Project

Our partner has plans to innovatively disrupt the automobile industry by providing data-driven solutions for connected cars. This new infrastructure is regarded as the future of mobility and will have a significant impact on drivers within the coming years.

In this new start-up digital business, they enable their people to apply the latest technologies to accelerate new product development to improve the life of drivers. Team members have the ability to start from scratch without being dependent on existing legacy systems, meanwhile, the work setting is linking the best out of both corporate and start-up environments.

This is where you come in...

Our partner is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer (Tech Lead) to make code-level architectural decisions and steer best-in-class implementation for the new MVP being developed. You will actively drive and coach the team's engineering practices in test driven development, continuous integration and automatic deployment. 

What you will do:

• Make application architecture decisions with the help of the team
• Deliver high-performance, tested and scalable clean code
• Own product deployment and performance in production
• Mentor and coach the technical team, specifically with code reviews, pair programming, etc.
• Responsibility for anticipating and identifying technical impediments and solving them using architecture design, technology choices or prioritisation
• Collaborate with Product Owner to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the existing architecture
• Co-create engineering practices, coding style guidelines, testing approach, etc.
• Constantly search for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution - you can challenge the status quo when required

Who are we looking for?

• You have at least 5 years experience leading development of large-scale applications from end to end
• Hands on leader, focussed on delivering clean code and steering best-in-class implementation
• You have experience with mobile technologies, specifically React Native
• You have knowledge in at least one statically typed language, preferably Java
• You are very familiar with cloud environments and DevOps practices
• You have previously designed and built distributed and modular architectures (microservices, API first)
• You have worked in an agile setup with Solution Architect experience preferred
